Character is so important. A whole lifetime of great works and good deeds can be negated with just one failed situation. I was thinking about this while watching some of the presidential candidates on tv last night. Think about how many presidents are known for negative events instead of years of service to their country. Its amazing. How about pastors that had a moral failings and destroyed their ministry. Character is so important. Watch your character, watch your heart, watch your mind. Today’s thoughts are tomorrow’s actions.
1 Timothy 4:15-16 – Cultivate these things. Immerse yourself in them. The people will all see you mature right before their eyes! Keep a firm grasp on both your character and your teaching. Don’t be diverted. Just keep at it. Both you and those who hear you will experience salvation.
-until next time…

lately i’ve been reading about Pastor Gugliemucci who sang what i thought and still think of as a great song on the hillsong. turns out he’d been pretending to have cancer for the last 2 years and revealed it after the song came out. someone commented that at least he had the guts to fess up to what he’d done, and i’d like to agree with that, we’ve got a lot of stuff in us that we should press the delete button on and for some reason we keep thinking it’ll be okay to have it around. i know i’ve done that, i just pray that i can put God first enough to push the button
